We are searching for an super friendly and dynamic Meeting & Events Assistant to join our team at Radisson RED Galway!

About The Role:

As a Meeting & Events Assistant, you will play an important role in ensuring our meetings, conferences, private functions and events run smoothly from setup through to completion. You will help prepare meeting and event spaces, ensuring rooms are presented to a high standard and set up according to each event’s requirements. You’ll work closely with the Meetings & Events Operations Manager, hotel departments and guests to provide a professional, friendly and efficient service throughout every event.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys working in a busy environment, takes pride in attention to detail and is happy to be part of a team. From preparing rooms and equipment to assisting with guest requests and making sure everything is in place, you’ll help create a seamless experience for our clients and their guests.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Assist with the setup, preparation and breakdown of meeting rooms and event spaces.
Ensure meeting and event rooms are clean, presentable and set up according to the client’s requirements.
Assist with the arrangement of tables, chairs, staging, signage and other event equipment.
Help prepare and check meeting room equipment, including screens, projectors, microphones and other AV equipment where required.
Welcome and assist guests and delegates throughout meetings and events.
Respond promptly and professionally to guest and client requests.
Work closely with the Meetings & Events team and other hotel departments to ensure events run smoothly.
Monitor meeting rooms throughout events and ensure refreshments, equipment and room requirements are maintained as needed.
Assist with setting up coffee breaks, refreshments and event requirements where applicable.
Ensure all event areas are kept clean, organised and presentable throughout the day.
Assist with the safe movement, storage and handling of event equipment.
Maintain a high standard of professionalism and customer service at all times.
Support the team with different events and hotel requirements as needed.
Be flexible and willing to work varying shifts, including weekdays, evenings and weekends.

About You

Previous experience in meetings, events, hospitality, hotels or a customer-facing environment is desirable.
Strong organisational and time-management skills.
Excellent attention to detail.
Friendly, professional and confident when dealing with guests and clients.
A positive, can-do attitude with the ability to work well as part of a team.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing changing priorities.
Good communication skills.
Willingness to learn about event operations and hotel systems.
Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and evenings.
Previous experience with basic AV or event equipment would be an advantage, but training can be provided.
