Activity Co-ordinator (Temporary / Part-Time or Full-Time)
Location: Castlegar Nursing Home, Castlegar H91P2K1 (East side of Galway City)
Pay Rate: Negoatiable - depending on experience
Job Type: Temporary few months cover at 24 hours per week as Activities Coordinator. Full time Healthcare position also available.
Hours: Part-time (Option for Full-time by combining with Healthcare Assistant shifts)
Schedule: Day shifts | Weekend availability required | In-person
About the Role

Castlegar Nursing Home is looking for a compassionate Activity Co-ordinator to join our team on a temporary basis for a few months. In this rewarding role, you will lead engaging activities and entertainment to enrich the daily lives of our elderly residents.
- Flexible Hours Option: While the core position is part-time, we can offer full-time hours to candidates open to taking on additional Healthcare Assistant (HCA) shifts.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and facilitate daily recreational activities, sing-alongs, games, and social events.
- Engage warmly with residents to offer companionship and active listening.
- Maintain a lively, inclusive, and joyful atmosphere within the home.
- (Optional Full-Time Role) Provide healthcare assistant support and personal care to residents as needed.

Requirements
- Location: Must be able to reliably commute to Castlegar, Galway, Co. Galway
- Personality: Warm, energetic demeanor with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to work day shifts and weekends.
- Successful Garda Vetting completion
