Full job description

We are currently looking for an experienced Mobile Plant Mechanic to join our team in Cork.

This is a great opportunity for a skilled mechanic with experience working on construction, agricultural, quarry or heavy plant machinery. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, servicing and repairing a range of mobile plant and equipment both on-site and in the workshop.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on mobile plant and heavy machinery.
Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults.
Attend breakdowns and carry out repairs on sites.
Complete preventative maintenance and inspections.
Maintain accurate service and repair records.
Ensure all work is completed safely and to a high standard.
Work independently while also being part of a supportive team.

Requirements

Previous experience as a Plant Mechanic, Mobile Plant Fitter, Agricultural Mechanic or similar.
Basic mechanical and hydraulic knowledge.
Experience diagnosing and repairing heavy machinery.
Electrical fault-finding experience would be an advantage.
Full driving licence required
Ability to work independently and manage on-site breakdowns.
Good communication and problem-solving skills.
