We are looking for an experienced Mobile Plant Fitter / Heavy Plant Mechanic to join our team in Cork. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled mechanic with experience working on construction, agricultural, quarry or other heavy machinery.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the servicing, maintenance, fault diagnosis and repair of a wide range of mobile plant and heavy equipment, working both on customer sites and in the workshop.
Key Responsibilities
Service, maintain and repair mobile plant, construction equipment and heavy machinery.
Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults.
Respond to machinery breakdowns and carry out on-site repairs.
Carry out preventative maintenance, inspections and safety checks.
Complete service reports and maintain accurate maintenance records.
Ensure all repairs are carried out efficiently and to a high standard.
Follow all company health and safety procedures.
Work independently on site while contributing effectively as part of a team.
Requirements
Previous experience as a Plant Fitter, Mobile Plant Mechanic, Heavy Plant Mechanic, Agricultural Mechanic, Field Service Engineer or similar.
Strong mechanical and hydraulic knowledge.
Experience repairing and maintaining heavy machinery.
Ability to diagnose faults and troubleshoot equipment.
Electrical fault-finding experience would be an advantage.
Full driving licence.
Ability to work independently and attend breakdowns on customer sites.
Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
Pay: €30,934.03-€58,354.13 per year
