Childcare Practioner (Minimum Level 8 Required)

Company: Daisy Chain Montessori & Childcare

Locations: Milltown (Milltown Road, D6)

Salary: €16.50 – €17.50 per hour (Dependent on experience)

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (No weekends)

Visa & Sponsorship Policy Applicants MUST already have the legal right to work full-time in Ireland (EU/EEA Citizens or valid Stamp 4 holders).We are strictly unable to offer visa sponsorship or employment permits for overseas candidates.Applications requiring a visa or work permit will be automatically rejected.

The Opportunity

Are you an ambitious early years professional holding a Level 8 degree? Daisy Chain Montessori & Childcare is a well-established, premium Early Years service in Dublin that has been thriving since 2000.

We pride ourselves on providing exceptional childcare and Montessori education in a warm, nurturing environment built on play-based learning, child independence, and strong relationships. We truly value our staff, offering a supportive team culture, an integrated employee wellness programme.

We currently have vacancies in our Wobbler Room (1–2 years) in both Rathfarnham and Milltown.

The Role

Child Development: Deliver high-quality, interest-based learning experiences that foster independence, confidence, and creativity.
Room Management: Lead daily routines, ensuring a safe, hygienic, and highly engaging environment tailored to your specific age room.
Partnership: Build strong, positive relationships with children, parents, and your fellow educators.
Compliance: Maintain accurate developmental records, observations, and daily logs in line with Tusla regulations.

Requirements

Education: A minimum Level 8 Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Care & Education (or a DCEDIY-approved equivalent). Applications with lower qualification levels cannot be accepted for this specific post.
Language: Fluent English (written and spoken) is essential for effective communication and regulatory compliance.
Vetting: Willingness to undergo Irish Garda Vetting. If you have lived abroad for 6 consecutive months or more, a certified translated Police Clearance Certificate from that country is mandatory.
Core Traits: A genuine love for early years education, paired with excellent teamwork and communication skills.
