First Steps Lagore Community Childcare is a well-established, community-based childcare service committed to providing high-quality early learning and care in a warm, nurturing and inclusive environment.
We are expanding our team and are seeking enthusiastic, caring and motivated professionals to join us in the following full-time positions:
- Early Years Lead Practitioner
- Early Years Assistant Practitioner

What You'll Do
- Provide high-quality care and education in line with the Aistear and Síolta frameworks.
- Build warm, positive relationships with children, families and colleagues.
- Create engaging learning experiences that support children's development and wellbeing.
- Observe, plan and document children's learning.
- Maintain a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the highest standards of care and education.
- (Lead Practitioner) Support the day-to-day running of the room, mentor colleagues and contribute to curriculum planning and quality improvement.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum QQI Level 5 Award in Early Childhood Care and Education (or recognised equivalent).
- A genuine passion for working with young children.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of Aistear, Síolta and Tusla regulations.
- Garda Vetting and satisfactory references.
- Eligibility to work in Ireland.
