The Europe Hotel Resort is currently seeking an experienced and passionate Mediterranean Chef de Partie to join our talented Kitchen team in our popular Riva Restaurant.

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled chef with a passion for Mediterranean cuisine to develop their career within a luxury five-star environment. Working alongside our Executive Chef, Head Chef and Sous Chefs, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional dining experiences while maintaining the highest standards of quality, presentation and food safety.

Riva Restaurant offers authentic and contemporary Mediterranean-inspired cuisine in a vibrant and stylish setting, showcasing the finest seasonal ingredients and exceptional service. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your career while working with a passionate and professional culinary team in one of Ireland's leading five-star resorts.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare, cook and present authentic and contemporary Mediterranean-inspired dishes to the highest five-star standards.
Take responsibility for your designated kitchen section and ensure it operates efficiently.
Complete daily mise en place within agreed timeframes.
Supervise, support and mentor Demi Chefs and Commis Chefs.
Delegate tasks effectively and ensure work is completed to the required standard.
Maintain exceptional food quality, consistency and presentation at all times.
Ensure all food is correctly labelled, dated and stored in accordance with HACCP procedures.
Monitor stock levels, organise stock rotation and complete daily requisitions.
Minimise food waste and contribute to effective food cost control.
Assist with menu planning and the development of new dishes.
Maintain a clean, organised and hygienic work environment.
Report any maintenance, hygiene or health and safety concerns promptly.
Ensure full compliance with HACCP, food safety and health safety regulations.
Work collaboratively with colleagues across all kitchen sections and departments.
Assist with banqueting and special events as required.
Attend all mandatory training sessions and support the ongoing development of junior team members.
Contribute positively towards departmental targets and the continued success of the Kitchen team.

The Successful Candidate

The ideal candidate will have:

A minimum of two years' experience as a Mediterranean Chef de Partie or in a similar role.
A recognised professional cookery qualification.
Strong knowledge of Mediterranean cuisine and cooking techniques.
A thorough understanding of HACCP and food safety procedures.
Previous experience supervising or mentoring junior chefs.
Excellent organisational and time management skills.
The ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy kitchen environment.
A creative approach to food preparation and presentation.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A positive attitude with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Fluent spoken and written English.
