People Business Support Manager – Join the Kare Plan Team!

Salary: €50,000 per year

Are you an experienced HR or People Operations professional who enjoys leading teams, improving processes and creating an excellent employee experience?

Kare Plan is looking for an ambitious and proactive People Business Support Manager to lead our People Support function and play a key role in supporting our growing organisation.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a high-performing team, shape efficient People processes and make a meaningful impact across the full employee lifecycle. Working closely with the Head of People and senior leadership, you will help drive operational excellence, support organisational goals and ensure that our employees and managers receive a professional, responsive and high-quality service.

What We’re Looking For

To be successful in this role, you will have:

A degree or professional qualification in Human Resources, Business or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience
A minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in HR, People Operations or a similar role
Previous experience managing or supervising a People, HR or administration team
Experience using HR Information Systems
Excellent organisational, planning and project-management skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
A high level of professionalism, discretion and confidentiality
Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
The ability to manage multiple priorities and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment
A proactive, collaborative and solutions-focused approach

What You’ll Be Doing

Leadership & Team Management

Lead, coach and develop the People Business Support team
Create a collaborative, high-performing and customer-focused team culture
Conduct regular one-to-one meetings, performance reviews and development planning
Allocate workloads effectively and ensure service-level standards are consistently achieved

People Operations

Oversee the administration of the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment administration, onboarding, contract management, probation reviews, internal transfers and offboarding
Ensure employee records are accurate, up to date and handled confidentially through the HR Information System
Manage HR documentation, employment contracts, contract amendments and policy acknowledgements
Support the delivery of efficient, consistent and high-quality People services across Kare Plan

Recruitment & Onboarding

Support recruitment managers with hiring administration and onboarding activities
Ensure all pre-employment checks are completed in line with healthcare regulatory requirements, including:

o Garda Vetting

o Right-to-work verification

o Professional registration validation

o Reference checks

o Mandatory compliance documentation

Continuously improve the onboarding experience so that new employees feel welcomed, informed and supported from day one

Compliance & Governance

Ensure compliance with Irish employment legislation, GDPR, HIQA requirements and Kare Plan policies
Maintain accurate and complete personnel records to support audits and regulatory inspections
Support internal and external audits relating to workforce compliance
Promote consistent, compliant and best-practice People processes across the organisation

Employee & Manager Support

Act as the first point of escalation for complex People administration queries
Support employee relations processes, including absence management, disciplinary, grievance and performance procedures, where appropriate
Provide responsive, professional and solutions-focused support to employees and managers
Help create a positive and engaging employee experience across the organisation

Continuous Improvement

Review and improve People processes to increase efficiency, consistency and service quality
Identify opportunities to streamline systems and ways of working
Develop, maintain and improve standard operating procedures
Support the implementation of new People initiatives and operational improvements

Reporting & People Analytics

Produce regular workforce reports covering:

o Headcount

o Recruitment activity

o Employee turnover

o Absence trends

o Vacancy metrics

o Workforce compliance status

Analyse People data to identify trends, risks and opportunities
Provide clear insights and recommendations to senior leadership to support informed decision-making

Stakeholder Management

Build strong and effective working relationships with managers across all departments
Partner closely with Payroll, Finance, Operations, Learning & Development and Quality teams
Ensure People processes are coordinated, efficient and aligned across the organisation
Support strategic People initiatives that contribute to Kare Plan’s wider organisational goals
