Account's Assistant (Fixed Term Contract)- Davies, 150 Harmonstown Rd Dublin 5 D05 K197 County Dublin

Principle Objective
Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role is for a part qualified accountant/accounting technician. The role will suit an ambitious, driven individual looking to develop and progress their career while obtaining wide-ranging experience across the finance function.
Knowledge & Experience
- At least 2 years’ experience in a fast-paced, high-volume accounts role
- Part Qualified studying (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA) or accounting technician
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills with the ability to manipulate data & reports
- Strong organisational and administrative skills
- Ability to work to tight operating deadlines
- Ambitious, pro-active with a strong teamwork ethic
Key Responsibilities
- Support Financial Controller with month end process including preparation of bank reconciliations, management accounts, sales reports and auxiliary reports
- Assist with the analysis of monthly P&L activity and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
- Assist with sales and purchase rebate reconciliations
- Assist with the HR function within Davies
- Assist with both internal audit engagements and the annual external audit process and statutory accounts preparation
- Assist accounts payable, stock control and credit control managers
- Assist with bad debt and debtor day analysis
- Participate in various process improvement initiatives and other ad-hoc projects as defined by the business
- Review and assist with cash office reconciliations
