About the Role

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Operations Specialist provides support to a busy operations team, carrying out a range of operational and administrative activities while providing an excellent customer experience. The successful candidate will be a highly driven and ambitious individual with a results-focused approach to their work and relevant experience in a busy operations/transport environment.

Contract Type: Permanent (6-month probationary period).

Working Hours: 8.30am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday (option of hybrid working post probation).

Location: Blakes Cross, Lusk, Co. Dublin

Key Duties of the Role

Complete day-to-day processing of import manifests and bookings.
Responding to customer queries and requests in a timely manner while providing the highest standards of customer service.
Deliver day-to-day operational requirements to meet customer needs in a cost-effective and efficient manner.
Manage customer accounts.
Communicating with third party agents and suppliers.
Manage files and ensure billing and costing are processed accurately.
Communicating directly with customers to keep them informed on order progress.
Liaise with internal departments and external partners to resolve discrepancies.
Complete administrative tasks, including investigating, sourcing, processing, and reporting in an accurate and timely manner.
Resolve service-related issues and queries efficiently while proactively identifying solutions.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and cross-functional projects.
Provide operational support on project-based activities as required.
Adhere to all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), company processes, policies and procedures.
Promote a supportive and collaborative work environment.

Essential Requirements

Previous experience working within a busy operations/transport team, essential.
Previous experience in account management.
Strong analytical, problem-solving and time management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong reporting skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to adhere to strict deadlines and work on own initiative.
Customer-focused with a proven track record of meeting and exceeding customer expectations.
Self-motivated and driven to achieve set targets.
Positive “can-do” attitude.
