Marketing Assistant – Bionutrica

About Bionutrica

Bionutrica is a growing Irish food supplement company based in Longford, specialising in the development and marketing of innovative, science-backed nutritional supplements.

As a Guaranteed Irish brand, we are proud to develop products that combine scientific research, quality ingredients and practical solutions to support the health and wellbeing of consumers across Ireland.

Our products are available through pharmacies nationwide, as well as major health and beauty retailers both in-store and online, including Boots and Holland & Barrett.

As Bionutrica continues to grow, we are investing further in our brand, digital presence and consumer marketing. We are now looking for a creative, ambitious and highly motivated Marketing Assistant to join the business and help shape the next stage of the Bionutrica brand.

The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to take real ownership of marketing within a growing Irish company.

Rather than simply supporting an established marketing department, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to help build and develop a dedicated marketing function within Bionutrica.

You will take ownership of our day-to-day social media presence while supporting a wide range of marketing activities, including content creation, graphic design, events, product launches, point-of-sale materials, retail campaigns and brand development.

The position would suit someone who is creative and commercially minded, enjoys taking an idea from concept through to execution, and is looking for a role where they can make a visible impact.

You will report directly to and work closely with the Operations Manager on a day-to-day basis, while also collaborating with other areas of the business.

Key Responsibilities

Social Media & Digital Content

You will take ownership of Bionutrica's social media channels and help develop a consistent and engaging digital presence for the brand.

Responsibilities will include:

Managing and growing Bionutrica's social media platforms.
Developing and maintaining a social media and content calendar.
Creating engaging content around our products, ingredients, health topics, retail partners and company activities.
Designing graphics, posts, stories, reels and other digital content.
Planning and executing social media campaigns around new products, promotions and key seasonal opportunities.
Creating short-form photo and video content for social media.
Monitoring engagement and responding appropriately to comments and messages.
Tracking social media performance and identifying opportunities to improve reach, engagement and brand awareness.
Keeping up to date with social media trends and identifying relevant opportunities for Bionutrica.

Graphic Design & Brand Materials

A strong creative eye will be important for this position. The successful candidate should be comfortable producing high-quality visual content for both online and offline use.

This will include:

Designing social media graphics and digital advertisements.
Creating point-of-sale materials for pharmacies and retail partners.
Producing posters, flyers, brochures, product information sheets and promotional materials.
Supporting the creation of exhibition stands, banners and event materials.
Preparing graphics and marketing assets for product launches and promotions.
Ensuring consistency across Bionutrica's branding and visual identity.
Working with external designers, printers and suppliers when required.

Experience with Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite would be highly beneficial.

Events & Brand Representation

Events will form an important part of the role, and the successful candidate should be flexible and confident representing Bionutrica externally.

Responsibilities may include:

Identifying relevant exhibitions, conferences, pharmacy events and consumer events.
Helping organise Bionutrica's participation in events from initial planning through to execution.
Coordinating event materials, samples, promotional products and exhibition stands.
Attending and hosting events on behalf of Bionutrica.
Engaging with pharmacists, retailers, customers and other industry professionals at events.
Capturing photographs and video content during events for use across social media and other marketing channels.
Supporting occasional events outside standard working hours where required.

General Marketing

As this is a broad and developing marketing position, you will have the opportunity to become involved in many aspects of the Bionutrica brand.

This may include:

Supporting new product launches and promotional campaigns.
Developing marketing materials for pharmacies and major retail partners.
Coordinating seasonal marketing campaigns.
Supporting website content and updates.
Assisting with email marketing and newsletters.
Conducting competitor and market research.
Identifying new marketing and promotional opportunities.
Liaising with suppliers, retailers and external marketing partners.
Supporting the Operations Manager with the development and implementation of the overall marketing strategy.
Bringing forward new ideas for how Bionutrica can increase brand awareness and connect with consumers.

About You

We are looking for someone who is creative, proactive and highly organised, with the confidence to take ownership of projects rather than waiting to be directed at every stage.

The ideal candidate will have:

A qualification in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
Strong graphic design and content creation skills.
Experience using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite or similar design software.
A strong understanding of social media platforms and current digital content trends.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and an eye for good design.
The confidence to represent the company professionally at events.
Good organisational and project management skills.
The ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
A proactive attitude and willingness to take ownership of marketing activities.
An interest in health, nutrition, food supplements and wellness.
The flexibility to attend occasional exhibitions and events as required.

Experience within the food supplement, pharmacy, health, wellness, FMCG or retail sectors would be advantageous but is not essential.
