Celtic Tiles Ltd is seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Tile Showroom Sales Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will assist customers with selecting tiles, laminate flooring and related products while providing a high standard of service throughout the sales process.
This role is ideal for someone with experience in retail sales, builders’ merchants, renovation products, or a tile, bathroom, kitchen or flooring showroom.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome customers to the showroom and identify their requirements.
- Promote and sell tiles, laminate flooring and related products.
- Assist customers with product selection, colours, styles, sizes and suitable applications.
- Handle face-to-face, telephone and email enquiries professionally.
- Provide accurate information on pricing, stock availability, lead times and product specifications.
- Prepare quotations, process orders and follow up on customer enquiries.
- Work towards achieving and exceeding individual and showroom sales targets.
- Build strong relationships with retail customers, tradespeople, contractors and designers.
- Liaise with the Sales Manager, warehouse and suppliers regarding orders and deliveries.
- Maintain a clean, organised and attractive showroom.
- Ensure product displays, samples and pricing information are kept up to date.
- Resolve customer queries and issues in a professional and timely manner.
- Support general administrative duties and use company computer systems as required.
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience in sales, retail or customer service.
- Experience in tiles, flooring, bathrooms, kitchens, renovation sales, builders’ merchants or a trade environment is desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent customer service and sales ability.
- Good organisational and time-management skills.
- Comfortable using email, Microsoft Office and sales or stock-management systems.
- Reliable, punctual and committed to maintaining good attendance.
- Self-motivated, confident and able to work on your own initiative.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn about products, installation requirements and current design trends.

Working Hours
Full-time hours. Flexibility may be required depending on showroom opening times and business needs.
Pay: €28,300.00-€63,375.65 per year
