Full job description

We are looking for a friendly, energetic, and customer-focused Barista to join our coffee shop team. The successful candidate will prepare high-quality coffee and beverages, provide outstanding customer service, and help maintain a clean, welcoming environment for our customers. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced setting and have a passion for coffee, we'd love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and serve coffee, espresso-based drinks, teas, and other beverages to company standards.
Greet customers warmly, take orders, and process payments accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
Recommend menu items and answer customer questions about drinks and food.
Ensure beverages are prepared consistently and presented to a high standard.
Keep the coffee bar, seating area, and workstations clean, organised, and fully stocked.
Operate and maintain espresso machines, coffee grinders, and other café equipment.
Follow food safety, hygiene, and health regulations at all times.
Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory and restocking supplies.
Support opening and closing procedures, including cleaning, cash handling, and equipment checks.
Work collaboratively with team members to deliver excellent customer service during busy periods.

Qualifications

Previous barista or café experience is a must and extra training training will be provided.
Passion for coffee and delivering exceptional customer service.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
Basic cash handling and computer/POS skills.
