We are looking for a friendly, energetic, and customer-focused Barista to join our coffee shop team. The successful candidate will prepare high-quality coffee and beverages, provide outstanding customer service, and help maintain a clean, welcoming environment for our customers. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve coffee, espresso-based drinks, teas, and other beverages to company standards.
- Greet customers warmly, take orders, and process payments accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Recommend menu items and answer customer questions about drinks and food.
- Ensure beverages are prepared consistently and presented to a high standard.
- Keep the coffee bar, seating area, and workstations clean, organised, and fully stocked.
- Operate and maintain espresso machines, coffee grinders, and other café equipment.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and health regulations at all times.
- Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory and restocking supplies.
- Support opening and closing procedures, including cleaning, cash handling, and equipment checks.
- Work collaboratively with team members to deliver excellent customer service during busy periods.
Qualifications
- Previous barista or café experience is a must and extra training training will be provided.
- Passion for coffee and delivering exceptional customer service.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
- Basic cash handling and computer/POS skills.
