Bartender – Opium, Dublin City Centre

We are now looking to add a part-time bartender to our team at Opium. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic individual with a passion for hospitality and leadership.
Key Requirements:
- Cocktail knowledge is essential – a solid understanding of classic and contemporary cocktails.
- Fluent English is essential.
- Ability to show initiative and lead by example in a fast-paced bar environment.
- Strong customer service skills – ability to interact professionally with customers and resolve issues efficiently.
- Previous bar experience is essential, at least 2 years in the irish bar trade.
- Must be flexible with working hours, including late nights and weekends.
- Strong awareness of health & safety and licensing requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the daily operation of the bar, ensuring high levels of service and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and stock control.
- Take part in all bar pre-opening tasks including setup, stock organisation, and assisting with bar menu development.
- Craft and serve a wide range of drinks, including cocktails, beers, wines, and non-alcoholic beverages with speed and precision.
- Maintain a strong knowledge of the drink and food menus, and confidently make recommendations to enhance the guest experience.
- Support upselling and revenue-generation initiatives within the Food & Beverage department.
- Work collaboratively with the wider team to deliver seamless service during busy periods, events, and peak hours.
