Your Role

Development track: Progress your professional exams while building month-end ownership and technical strength — with scope to take on more responsibility as you develop towards qualification.

Reporting to and working with the Assistant Financial Controller, you will support the monthly Record to Report (R2R) cycle, including preparing and posting general ledger journals with clear back-up and explanations.

Support the production of accurate, timely management accounts through preparation of accruals, prepayments and assigned balance sheet reconciliations, escalating reconciling items and queries as needed.

Maintain day-to-day cashbook activities including bank postings and bank reconciliations, monitoring daily cashflow and arranging appropriate bank transfers.

Support intercompany debtor and creditor reconciliations, ensuring issues are followed up, cleared promptly, and supporting documentation is maintained to a high standard.

Partner with Senior Financial Accountants to deliver month-end analysis and “deep dives”, liaising with budget holders and centre managers to understand transactions and movements.

Contribute to a strong control environment and smooth audit process by maintaining robust working papers, supporting compliance with policies and controls, and identifying practical improvements to increase accuracy, timeliness and efficiency as your capability grows.

Who We’re Looking For:

Minimum 1-2 years relevant experience and are committed to completing a training contract and completing all their Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) professional exams.
