The Job
As a Trainee Chartered Accountant with Dublin City Council, you will gain invaluable practical experience across local government finance while studying towards the Chartered Accountants Ireland (CAI) qualification. The City Council will provide full financial support for Chartered Accountants Ireland examinations and professional training along with structured training programme and mentoring.
You will have the opportunity to work on major housing, infrastructure, regeneration and public service programmes, developing both technical accounting expertise and broader leadership skills within a dynamic public sector environment.
Good financial management is at the heart of delivering effective public services. Dublin City Council offers trainees the opportunity to contribute to projects that have a tangible impact on communities while building a rewarding professional career.
Successful candidates will be subject to continuous assessment throughout their traineeship. A Trainee Chartered Accountant (Temporary) who fails to progress through the various examination stages within the required period, or such extended period as may be permitted, will no longer be eligible to continue in the Programme and their temporary contract will cease.
