Ardonagh Europe is looking for an ambitious and driven Financial Reporting Manager to join our central finance team and play a key role in supporting our continued growth across Europe.
Part of The Ardonagh Group—one of the world's largest independent insurance distribution platforms—Ardonagh Europe has grown rapidly since its establishment in 2022 and now operates across Ireland, Netherlands, France, Switzerland, Austria, Italy and Greece, employing over 1,500 colleagues and managing more than €2bn of GWP annually.
Reporting to the European Controller, you'll take ownership of financial reporting and control activities for our central services entities while helping to strengthen financial governance and reporting standards across our European operations.
Prepare monthly management accounts for two Irish service companies and the UK holding company using D365.
Manage day-to-day financial control activities, including:
Lead the allocation of central services costs across the European business.
Coordinate intercompany reconciliations and ensure accurate reporting across multiple jurisdictions.
Oversee quarterly statutory reporting packs and support annual statutory reporting and audit processes.
Partner with FP&A teams to review costs, analyse variances and ensure alignment with budgets.
Support VAT reporting requirements in the UK and Ireland.
Complete monthly IFRS accounting entries, including investment accounting.
Work alongside the European Controller to develop and enhance Ardonagh Europe's financial control framework.
Collaborate with Group Finance, Tax, Treasury, Legal teams and local finance teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with Group policies, Transfer Pricing and Pillar 2 requirements.
Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
5+ years' post-qualified experience
Previous experience in financial reporting, financial control or accounting management roles
Strong statutory reporting and audit experience
Excellent Excel and systems skills (D365 experience advantageous)
Ability to work across multiple stakeholders and geographies
Strong analytical mindset with exceptional attention to detail
Confident communicator who can engage effectively with senior management and external partners
Insurance or Financial Services experience is beneficial but not essential
