Full job description

*****Experienced Breakfast Chef******

Clonakilty Park Hotel, formerly the Quality Hotel, Clonakilty, are currently recruiting for an experienced part time Breakfast Chef for 2-3 days to join our team. Experience is required in preparing, producing and cooking food for breakfast service for a busy hotel to the agreed company standards. The hotel includes 122 units between hotel bedrooms, two bedroom suites and holiday homes.

Main Duties:

Operating and managing the breakfast section of the kitchen and liaising with the Executive Chef and kitchen team to ensure a successful working environment.
Preparing mise en place for the breakfast section
Cooking and serving breakfast, with a mix of buffet and ala carte service
Ensuring the kitchen section adheres to safety and health regulations.
Setting up the lunch and dinner sections before the other chefs begin their shifts
Cooking staff lunch
Ensure all dishes are prepared in a timely fashion;
Operate in a safe and responsible manner with recognized techniques;
Work as part of a busy kitchen team and overall as part of a professional hotel team.

The successful candidate must have:

Previous experience in a similar position, preferably in a busy hotel environment;
Be HACCP trained and hygiene focused;
Have a flair for presentation;
Excellent attention to detail;
Have a professional appearance & a positive work attitude;
Ability to work as part of a team in a busy kitchen environment.

Be flexible and available to work varying shifts, 2-3 out of 7 days.
