We are seeking a skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our kitchen team.The Sous Chef's responsibilities include assisting the Head Chef, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen. Sous Chef must contribute to menu development, manage inventory, and maintain food quality and safety standards.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook dishes according to established recipes and standards
- Ensure the quality and consistency of all dishes
- Collaborate with Head Chef on menu creation and execution.
- Oversee kitchen operations in the Head Chef's absence.
- Train and supervise junior kitchen staff.
- Ensure strict adherence to food safety and cleanliness standards.
- Manage kitchen inventory and control costs.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role
- Excellent cooking skills and knowledge of culinary techniques
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations
- Creativity and the ability to develop innovative dishes
- A degree or certification in culinary arts or a related field is preferred
