Title: Wedding & Events Sales Executive
Department: Sales & Marketing
Reports To: Director of Sales / Business Development Manager
Job Purpose
The Wedding & Events Sales Executive is responsible for driving wedding and event revenue for Midlands Park Hotel
by proactively generating enquiries, converting leads into confirmed bookings, and delivering exceptional customer
service throughout the client journey. The role involves promoting the hotel's wedding, conference, banquet, and special event facilities while building strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and local businesses.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development

Manage all wedding and event enquiries in a professional and timely manner.
Convert enquiries into confirmed bookings through proactive sales techniques and effective follow-up.
Achieve and exceed monthly and annual sales targets.
Conduct site inspections and showcase the hotel's facilities to prospective clients.
Develop and maintain relationships with wedding planners, event organisers, local businesses, and community groups.
Identify new business opportunities to increase wedding and event revenue.
Attend wedding fairs, exhibitions, networking events, and promotional activities as required.

Wedding Coordination & Client Management

Meet with wedding couples and event clients to understand their requirements and expectations.
Prepare bespoke event proposals, quotations, and contracts.
Guide clients through the planning process from initial enquiry to event completion.
Coordinate with operational departments to ensure seamless event delivery.
Maintain regular communication with clients, providing updates and assistance throughout the planning stages.
Ensure all event details are accurately recorded and communicated to relevant departments.

Event Planning & Administration

Manage the hotel's wedding and event diary, ensuring accurate booking information.
Prepare function sheets, event orders, and operational documentation.
Maintain CRM systems and sales records, ensuring data accuracy.
Process deposits, payments, and contract documentation in line with hotel procedures.
Produce regular sales reports and activity updates for management.

Marketing & Promotion

Assist in promoting the hotel's wedding and event offerings through social media, email marketing, and digital

platforms.

Work with the marketing team to create campaigns that generate new enquiries.
Support the organisation and delivery of hotel showcase events and wedding fairs.
Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities for growth.

Customer Service

Deliver exceptional customer service at every stage of the customer journey.
Handle client concerns and resolve issues professionally and efficiently.
Seek feedback following events and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Act as an ambassador for Midlands Park Hotel, maintaining a professional image at all times.

Skills & Experience Required
Essential

Previous experience in sales, hospitality, weddings, events, or customer service.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organisational and time-management abilities.
Proven ability to build relationships and convert sales opportunities.
High level of attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends when required.

Desirable

Experience working in a hotel or hospitality environment.
Knowledge of wedding and events planning.
Experience using hotel booking, CRM, or event management systems.
Understanding of digital marketing and social media platforms.
