Full job description

The Recycling Operative (Sort & Washline) works as part of the operations Team of the Shabra Group, and is personally responsible for ensuring that all Plastics is sorted and processed on site in accordance with the structures and targets in place.

Operate a forklift to move, load, and organize recyclable materials safely and efficiently within the facility.
Material sortation.
Quality checks, pellet inspection and grading.
Material selection and weighing.
Completion of production documentation.
Carrying out daily checks in accordance with company procedures.
Plant and site cleaning duties when required.
Co-operating with site management.
Working to health and safety, environmental and quality standards as they apply to the process.
Maintaining high levels of tidiness and housekeeping in the production work area.
You may at times be required to carry out duties not shown in the outline job description above.
Report and communicate with Operations Supervisors & manager to maximise machine and production process efficiency
Carry out duties in such a manner as to comply with the Health & Safety Policy of the company, including:
Taking reasonable care for your own safety & that of others
Arriving for work free from any intoxicant
Wearing Personal Protective Equipment at all times
Not engaging in improper conduct or behaviour
Reporting known defects
Not intentionally or recklessly interfering with or misuse equipment
Participating in health & safety training provided
Assist with on-the-job training and development of staff as required
You are required to use your best endeavours to promote the best interests of the Company and abide by the rules, policies and procedures of the Company
Any other duties, within reason and capability, as determined by management

Line Manager Reporting

1. Actively partaking in meetings as and when required

2. Attending required training and ensure a certificate of completion is forwarded to HR

3. Participation in appraisals and performance reviews to assess your overall performance, duties, training requirements and development.

Other

4. Adhering to the rules and regulations and Health and Safety guidelines of the company and the rules and regulations around your role

5. Demonstrate confidentiality at all times.

6. Commitment to preserving high customer care standards at all times

7. Supporting team member

8. To undertake other such reasonable duties as shall from time to time be required by the company, within the competency of the postholder.
