Warehouse Operative

Swords, Dublin

Hours: Monday to Friday: 40 hours per week: Shifts on rotation

Salary: 42375.36 Euro

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Operation / use of World Courier I.T. systems; World Star, OptiView, and the INET.
Loading and unloading of vehicles, and utilising the correct equipment to do so.
Performing a weekly stock check of packaging materials.
Obtaining accurate weight and dimensions and recording this information in World-Star.
Internal communications with other UK departments.
Ensure that the warehouse remains clean and tidy – inside and out – at all times.
Replenishing dry ice and ensuring that clients/other WC offices are charged correctly for it.
Replenishing gel packs correctly, paying attention to the packaging diagrams.
Reporting any shipments that arrive into the Warehouse that may have been damaged in transit.
Ensuring the premises are secure, by keeping shutters in place and challenging anyone without a valid World Courier I.D or visitors pass.
Keeping the fire exits clear of obstructions.
Maintaining a record of all shipments on hold, ensuring they are all stored within the correct temperature parameters and communicating the list to other departments.
Offer leadership to more junior staff members and support to those more senior. Ordering dry ice. Incident reporting.
Ensuring that consumables are kept in stock i.e. tape, pens, markers etc…

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Possess a full clean/nearly clean UK driver’s licence which must have been held for a minimum of two years.
