Full job description

We are searching for an experienced Sous Chef for busy restaurant environment in both Newtownforbes & Drumlish, Longford.

Have experience working as a chef
Possess excellent communication and people skills
Be a multi-tasker
Have a genuine interest in food and food trends and an ability to introduce new trends to a menu whilst offering an excellent standard of traditional cooking
Sound knowledge of HACCP systems
Ability to work in a fast paced environment
Ability to work under pressure
A team player, accurate & efficient

The Role

As Sous Chef, you will work closely with the Head Chef to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the kitchen while maintaining exceptional food quality and consistency.

Responsibilities

Assisting the Head Chef with the daily operation of the kitchen
Preparing and presenting dishes to a consistently high standard
Supervising and supporting junior kitchen staff
Maintaining excellent food hygiene and HACCP standards
Assisting with stock control, ordering, and reducing waste
Helping to develop new menu ideas and seasonal specials
Ensuring a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen at all times
