Full job description

House Dublin is a boutique hotel located in the heart of Dublin City Centre. With just 16 individually styled bedrooms, we pride ourselves on offering a warm, personal and high-quality experience to every guest.

We are looking for an experienced, professional and friendly Hotel Receptionist to join our team on a full-time basis.

As a smaller boutique hotel, this is a hands-on and varied role. We are looking for someone who is passionate about hospitality, enjoys providing a warm and personal style of service, and takes pride in creating a welcoming and memorable experience for every guest.

You will have the opportunity to get to know our guests on a more personal level while working closely with our restaurant, reservations and events teams to ensure a seamless experience throughout their stay.

As part of a close-knit team, the ideal candidate will be flexible, approachable and happy to support different areas of the business when required. You should be confident managing a varied range of guest and general enquiries while maintaining a professional and friendly approach at all times.

Salary: €35,000 per annum
Hours: 10:00am – 6:00pm
Days: Tuesday – Saturday

The Role

Welcoming guests and managing hotel check-ins and check-outs.
Managing bedroom reservations, amendments and general hotel enquiries through our booking system and email.
Answering and monitoring incoming telephone calls in a friendly and professional manner.
Responding to general enquiries relating to the hotel, restaurant and events.
Assisting our Events Team with general enquiries and administrative support.
Liaising closely with our restaurant, events and wider House Dublin team to ensure a seamless guest experience.
Providing guests with information about the hotel, its facilities and services.
Taking accurate messages and directing enquiries to the appropriate department or manager.
Managing guest requests and assisting with any issues or concerns in a professional and timely manner.
Maintaining an organised, professional and welcoming reception area.
Supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of our 16-bedroom boutique hotel and assisting across the business when required.

About You

We are looking for someone with:

Previous experience working in a hotel reception or similar front-of-house role.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
A warm, friendly, confident and professional manner.
Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
Confidence handling telephone, email and face-to-face guest enquiries.
The ability to multitask, prioritise and remain organised in a busy hospitality environment.
Experience using hotel booking and restaurant reservation systems, with OpenTable experience preferred, but not essential.
A high standard of written and spoken English.
A proactive and flexible approach, with a willingness to support the wider team when required.
A genuine passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences.
