Full job description

About the opportunity:

As a member of our Dewatering Team based in our Dublin office, you will be primarily field-based and support a team of environmental and geological professionals on a variety of projects. Minerex Environmental has a portfolio of high-profile projects within the private sector mainly within the greater Dublin area. We are looking for interested, enthusiastic, flexible, determined staff with the right positive attitude to join our highly successful team.

The primary focus of the role will be on undertaking project tasks, which will consist mainly of water-related construction site fieldwork on a variety of projects. The role will involve working with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver projects within agreed time frames and budgets and to exceed our client’s expectations.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

Predominantly based around achieving project execution, will include but are not limited to:

Dewatering and water treatment projects in contaminated and non-contaminated land. This involves installing wells, pumps (110v, 400v and diesel), hosing, representative water sampling, electrical and data cable layouts, commissioning settlement tanks, electronic sensors, working with and around excavators, track machines and forklifts, there will be confined space and working at heights occasionally, mechanical and electrical knowledge would be beneficial and welcomed, the job training will be provided where lacking, driving licence is essential.

Attributes, Certificates, Licences and Attitude requirements

1. Full European driving licence. Possessing a Category C/C1/CE licence would be beneficial.

2. SOLAS Safe Pass card and Manual Handling certificate. The Company will provide as required.

3. Positive can-do attitude, strong desire to work in a team, with a good work ethic, good communication, natural problem solver, able and comfortable to work on own initiative by oneself on site after training.

4. Able to achieve an organised, tidy and clean final result.

5. Excellent interpersonal skills, clear ability to give and take constructive criticism, be a self-starter, proven ability to execute tasks on time and be responsible and accountable.

6. Determined, hands-on, can-do approach to problem-solving and ability to use resources to hand to achieve successful outcomes.

7. Comfortable with being led and supported by others on the team.

8. Able to keep pace with dynamic changes in project requirements.

9. Ability to see when change is needed, show initiative, manage it, communicate it and remain calm.

10. Experience in a similar role is a bonus but not a requirement.
