About Us

Aghadoe Heights Hotel and Spa is a luxury 5-star hotel with a spectacular location overlooking the spectacular world famous Lakes of Killarney and the magnificent MacGillycuddy's Reeks mountain range.

At the forefront of the luxury hotel scene for over 50 years, this luxury resort comprises 74 elegant bedrooms and suites offering breath-taking views, either of the hotel gardens, the rolling Kerry countryside or the magical lakes and mountains.

About the Role

We are now seeking to hire a part-time Assistant Accountant to join our team to support the day-to-day financial operations of our hotel. This role involves maintaining accurate accounting records, managing revenue processes, and assisting the Finance Team.

Key Responsibilities

Support accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger activities
Process invoices, payments, and billing accurately and on time
Assist with VAT returns and reconciliations
Perform daily cash handling and reconciliations
Monitor and follow up on outstanding accounts
Assist with monthly reporting, audits, and year-end processes
Reconcile bank, credit card, and ledger accounts
Maintain financial records and accounting systems
Payroll processing & reconciliations
Assist with budgets, stock counts, and inventory tracking
Any Ad hoc duties when required

Requirements

Strong numerical and organisational skills
High attention to detail
Experience in a similar finance role (hospitality preferred)
Proficiency in Excel and accounting systems
