Eviston House Hotel is a busy, well-established hotel located in the heart of Killarney town centre. Known for its warm hospitality, lively atmosphere, quality food offering, and the famous Danny Mann Pub with its traditional Irish music and entertainment, the hotel has long been one of Killarney’s best-known hospitality destinations.
We are currently seeking an experienced, energetic, and hands-on Assistant Hotel Manager to join our management team.
The Role
The successful candidate will work closely with senior management in the day-to-day operation of the hotel, helping to maintain strong operational standards and deliver a positive guest experience across all departments.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with solid hospitality experience who is looking to progress their management career in a busy and rewarding environment. The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to be part of an exciting period for the hotel, as we commence significant capital investment to upgrade and enhance our guest rooms and facilities over the coming period.
Key Responsibilities
Assisting in the daily management of hotel operations
Leading and motivating staff across departments
Supporting the smooth running of front office, food & beverage, and housekeeping operations
Handling guest queries and resolving issues professionally
Assisting with staff training, rostering, and performance management
Maintaining health & safety and operational procedures
Supporting revenue growth and cost control initiatives
Helping drive standards, consistency, and team performance throughout the property
Requirements
Previous hotel supervisory or management experience essential
Strong leadership and communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Excellent customer service and problem-solving ability
Flexible and hands-on approach
Experience with hotel systems and reservations software an advantage
Fluent English required
