Position: VICE PRESIDENT, SENIOR ACCOUNT MANAGER - REGULATORY SERVICES

Location: CAYMAN, GRAND CAYMAN

About the Role

The Vice President, Senior Account Manager – Regulatory Services supports Regulatory Services team. Its tactical responsibilities feed one larger objective: the provision of regulatory services to our clients, primarily in FATCA, and CRS, AIFMD and Economic Substance related services. Primary responsibilities include:

Primary responsibility for the management of FATCA and CRS services, including working with a project team in relation to the development and roll out of new systems and procedures, onboarding of clients and review and oversight over the provision of services to a large portfolio of clients
management of a small team of staff, review and oversight over the provision of services, and being the main point of contact for a portfolio of FATCA and CRS, AIFMD depositary lite and Economic Substance clients;
responsible for review and approval of depositary lite files and classification of account holders under FATCA and CRS, as well as review, preparation and submission of FATCA, CRS, and Economic Substance notifications and annual filings;
staff management and development, liaison with clients, investment managers, colleagues and other third parties in various international jurisdictions, and
responsibility for and participation in various projects, including application of regulatory changes, introduction of new services and procedural and system changes.

What You Bring

In addition to indisputably high ethical standards and autonomy, the ideal candidate possesses the following:

The successful candidate will be a university graduate, with an accounting or finance professional designation, an excellent academic background, and at least 12 years’ relevant experience in fund administration, accounting, audit or relevant regulatory services in the investment funds industry. Experience in both fund accounting and audit roles would be an advantage;
The candidate must also have a good understanding of FATCA, CRS, Economic Substance and AIFMD regulatory requirements;
Expertise in accounting and regulatory reporting for Trusts, crypto and digital assets would be an advantage;
Experience in working with account holder due diligence and regulatory reporting requirements for reporting financial institutions under FATCA and CRS is preferred;
Prior management of staff is required;
The successful applicant will have an excellent knowledge of Microsoft applications, with advanced Excel and data management skills;
In addition, he/she will have strong analytical skills, with the ability to read, interpret and apply regulations and other documentation in line with specific requirements;
He/she will have the ability to use initiative, be self motivated and able to work independently, and work well under pressure to complete high volumes of work under tight deadlines;
This post requires a high degree of attention to detail, accuracy and efficiency, ability to multi-task and excellent organisational, prioritisation and communication skills;
In addition, the successful candidate will be able to manage team workflows, monitor and manage key performance indicators to ensure department targets are met and be able to demonstrate excellent staff management skills.
