Vhi, Ireland’s leading health insurer, is seeking an experienced Business Continuity Manager to lead, evolve and embed the Group’s Business continuity and crisis management framework. Reporting to the Head of Operational resilience, you will be responsible for ensuring Vhi can continue to deliver critical healthcare, insurance and customer services during periods of disruption. The successful candidate will work across business functions, technology teams and third-party providers to strengthen organisational resilience, support regulatory requirements, and drive a culture of preparedness and continuous improvement.

What will you do:-
Lead and maintain Vhi’s group‑wide business continuity and crisis management framework.
- Lead the Business Impact Analysis process across the organisation, ensuring critical services, recovery objectives, dependencies and vulnerabilities are identified and maintained.
- Design and oversee an annual business continuity and crisis testing programme, including scenario‑based and executive‑level exercises.
- Work closely with IT and Technology teams to ensure alignment between business recovery requirements and IT disaster recovery capabilities.
- Oversight of third‑party and supplier continuity arrangements, ensuring critical service providers have effective and tested continuity plans in place.

Provide business continuity input into major change initiatives and new service introductions, preventing the introduction of resilience weaknesses.
- Act as a lead coordinator during major incidents and crisis events, ensuring timely mobilisation of response teams
- Ensure business continuity activities support compliance with applicable regulatory and operational resilience requirements.
- Provide clear reporting and insight to senior management and contribute to Board‑level management information.
What will you need to be successful:-
3–5+ years’ experience in Business Continuity, Operational Resilience or a related discipline.
- Demonstrable experience managing or supporting enterprise-wide business continuity programmes.

Experience working within organisation with complex IT environments and significant third‑party dependencies.
- Experience within a regulated industry such as insurance, healthcare, financial services or a similarly regulated environment.
- Excellent leadership, influencing and stakeholder engagement skills.

Proven ability to operate effectively under pressure during live incidents and business disruptions.
