Ruby Lounge + Kitchen is currently recruiting experienced Chefs to join our kitchen team at our busy bar and restaurant on the Dunmore Road, Waterford.
This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced kitchen serving breakfast, weekday carvery, Sunday carvery, lunch, à la carte dishes, bar food and event menus. We are looking for reliable, organised chefs who take pride in producing good-quality food consistently across busy service periods.
The Role
You will be part of a kitchen team delivering food across a varied all-day operation, including breakfast, carvery, lunch, bar food and private events.
Duties will include:
- Preparing, cooking and presenting dishes to a high standard
- Supporting breakfast, carvery, lunch and à la carte service
- Maintaining consistency, quality and presentation across all dishes
- Working cleanly and efficiently during busy service periods
- Following HACCP, food safety and hygiene procedures
- Supporting stock control, prep lists and kitchen organisation
- Working as part of a positive, professional kitchen team
- Assisting with menu ideas, specials and day-to-day kitchen improvements where required
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will have:
- Previous experience as a Chef, Chef de Partie, Commis Chef or strong Cook in a busy kitchen
- Experience with breakfast, carvery, bar food or casual dining is an advantage
- A good understanding of HACCP and kitchen hygiene standards
- The ability to work well under pressure
- Good organisation and attention to detail
- A reliable, professional attitude
- Flexibility to work weekdays and weekends as required
- Pride in producing quality food for customers
