Childhood Matters Early Years – Blackrock, Cork
Permanent | 30 Hours per Week

Childhood Matters Early Years is seeking a caring, enthusiastic and motivated Childcare Practitioner to join our dedicated team.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a high-quality early years setting where children are supported to learn, grow and thrive through play in a safe, nurturing and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities

Provide high-quality care and education in accordance with the Aistear and Síolta frameworks and the Early Years Services Regulations.
Plan and deliver engaging, play-based learning experiences that support children's individual learning and development.
Promote children's wellbeing, independence and holistic development.
Build positive and respectful relationships with children, families and colleagues.
Maintain a safe, caring and inclusive environment at all times.
Observe, assess and document children's learning and development.
Work collaboratively as part of the Early Years team.
Comply with all service policies, Children First guidance and Tusla regulations.

Essential Requirements

QQI Level 5 qualification (minimum) in Early Learning and Care (or recognised equivalent).
Good knowledge of Aistear and Síolta.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
A genuine passion for supporting young children's learning and development.

Desirable

QQI Level 6 or higher qualification in Early Learning and Care (or recognised equivalent).
Previous experience working in an early years setting.
Good knowledge of Aistear, Síolta and the Early Years Services Regulations.
