Childhood Matters Early Years is seeking a caring, enthusiastic and motivated Childcare Practitioner to join our dedicated team.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a high-quality early years setting where children are supported to learn, grow and thrive through play in a safe, nurturing and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality care and education in accordance with the Aistear and Síolta frameworks and the Early Years Services Regulations.
- Plan and deliver engaging, play-based learning experiences that support children's individual learning and development.
- Promote children's wellbeing, independence and holistic development.
- Build positive and respectful relationships with children, families and colleagues.
- Maintain a safe, caring and inclusive environment at all times.
- Observe, assess and document children's learning and development.
- Work collaboratively as part of the Early Years team.
- Comply with all service policies, Children First guidance and Tusla regulations.
Essential Requirements
- QQI Level 5 qualification (minimum) in Early Learning and Care (or recognised equivalent).
- Good knowledge of Aistear and Síolta.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A genuine passion for supporting young children's learning and development.
Desirable
- QQI Level 6 or higher qualification in Early Learning and Care (or recognised equivalent).
- Previous experience working in an early years setting.
- Good knowledge of Aistear, Síolta and the Early Years Services Regulations.
