Location - Galway - This role is office-based, with a hybrid working option available following successful completion of probation.

Employment Type - Full-Time Permanent

Salary range - €50,000 – €60,000 per annum. Compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and qualifications.

Role Overview

We are seeking a HR Generalist to take ownership of day-to-day HR operations and support the delivery of the people strategy. This is a hands-on, varied role where you will manage the full employee lifecycle while also contributing to culture, engagement, and continuous improvement of HR processes.

Key Responsibilities

Employee Lifecycle Management

Manage end-to-end employee lifecycle processes, including onboarding, contract management, role changes, and offboarding.
Ensure a positive and seamless employee experience throughout the employee journey.

HR Operations & Compliance

Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems.
Ensure HR policies, procedures, and documentation remain compliant with Irish employment legislation and best practices.
Support HR audits, reporting requirements, and data accuracy initiatives.

Employee Support & Advisory

Act as a first point of contact for managers and employees on HR-related matters.
Provide practical HR guidance and support across a range of people processes and employee relations matters.
Resolve employee queries in a timely, professional, and confidential manner.

Performance & Development

Support performance management processes, including goal setting, review cycles, and feedback discussions.
Assist in the coordination and delivery of learning and development initiatives.

Culture, Engagement & Inclusion

Support employee engagement initiatives that reinforce company culture and values.
Contribute to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives and foster an inclusive workplace environment.
Assist with internal communications and employee events and activities.

Recruitment & Onboarding

Support recruitment activities, including interview coordination and candidate experience.
Deliver an effective and engaging onboarding experience for new hires.

Process Improvement

Identify opportunities to improve HR processes, systems, and ways of working.
Support the implementation of HR initiatives, projects, and system enhancements to improve efficiency and employee experience.

Requirements

3+ years' experience in a generalist HR role.
Strong knowledge of Irish employment legislation and HR best practices.
Experience supporting managers and employees across a broad range of HR activities.
Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth, or dynamic environment.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and deliver results.
Experience using HRIS platforms (e.g., HiBob or similar).
CIPD qualification or equivalent HR qualification preferred.
