Full job description

Kelly RAC is looking for an experienced HVAC Maintenance Business Development Manager to help grow and develop our business across Dublin and the surrounding areas.

This is a senior business development and customer relationship role for someone with a strong commercial background and a good understanding of the HVAC, building services, technical services or hard FM market.

Your primary focus will be winning profitable new HVAC maintenance and PPM contracts. You will also develop relationships with our existing customers, help ensure we continue to meet their expectations, and identify wider HVAC project, replacement and upgrade opportunities.

We are looking for a proven business developer with technical industry knowledge, rather than necessarily an HVAC engineer moving into sales.

Key Responsibilities

Proactively identify and develop new HVAC maintenance and PPM opportunities across Dublin and surrounding areas
Build, manage and convert a strong new-business pipeline
Develop relationships with Facilities Managers, Property Managers, FM companies and other key decision-makers
Regularly engage with existing customers to strengthen relationships and ensure they are happy with the service being provided
Identify opportunities to expand the services we provide to existing customers
Meet prospective customers and carry out site visits
Understand customer requirements and work with Kelly RAC's technical teams to develop appropriate solutions
Prepare and present proposals and tenders
Manage opportunities from initial contact through qualification, proposal, negotiation and close
Win profitable, long-term HVAC maintenance and PPM contracts
Identify HVAC replacement, upgrade, refurbishment and project opportunities
Introduce and work with our Sales and Projects teams to develop larger project opportunities
Ensure a structured handover to the Service team when new maintenance contracts are secured
Maintain accurate visibility of pipeline, opportunities and expected outcomes

What We're Looking For

The successful candidate will ideally have:

A proven track record in B2B sales and business development
Experience selling HVAC maintenance, building services, hard FM or other technical services
A good working understanding of HVAC maintenance and PPM contracts
A strong and structured sales process
Experience in prospecting, opportunity qualification, pipeline management, proposals, negotiation and closing
The motivation to proactively generate new opportunities rather than relying on incoming enquiries
Strong relationship-building and communication skills
Good commercial awareness and the ability to negotiate profitable business
The ability to identify wider project and upgrade opportunities through customer relationships
A network within the Dublin FM, property, HVAC or building services market would be a significant advantage

Technical Background

You do not need to be an HVAC engineer to be successful in this position.

Kelly RAC has the technical expertise internally to support the role. We are looking for someone with sufficient industry and technical understanding to engage credibly with customers, combined with a strong commercial mindset, disciplined sales process and proven ability to win business.

We are investing further in our recurring maintenance business and are creating this dedicated Dublin-based role to strengthen our presence in the Dublin market.

The successful candidate will work closely with our Sales, Service and Projects teams, with a clear focus on developing new business, strengthening existing customer relationships and identifying wider commercial opportunities.
