Full job description

CJ SHEERAN is Ireland’s largest manufacturer and recycler of timber packaging and pallets, providing a premium quality, sustainable and accredited packaging solution to Ireland and the UK’s diverse network of pallet consumers. We are currently undergoing exceptional growth and are seeking a Forklift Operator to join our busy pallet plant inBallinrobe, Co. Mayo.

Immediate start.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate counter balance forklift to move, load, unload and store products/materials in designated locations
Inspect and maintain forklifts to ensure safe operating procedures
Complete forklift check forms as required and any additional documentation
Follow safety protocols and company procedures while operating machinery
Track and document inventory in compliance with company policy and procedures
Perform general warehouse duties as required, such as manufacturing of pallets, labelling, wrapping and strapping pallets in preparation for dispatch
Enforce safety standards and ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and health and safety regulations
Maintain a high standard of quality across all production outputs, ensuring all products meet company specifications and customer expectations
Participation in ongoing training and development
Assist in other departments as needed, offering flexibility to support the business’s evolving needs

Requirements:

Minimum of 2 years’ experience desirable
Valid counter balance forklift certificate essential
Strong understanding of safety standards and procedures
Able to work under pressure, multi-task and meet deadlines
Energetic, hard-working and enthusiastic
An excellent team player
Strong communication skills
Can-do attitude
