We are currently undergoing exceptional growth and are seeking a Forklift Operator to join our busy pallet plant inBallinrobe, Co. Mayo.
Immediate start.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate counter balance forklift to move, load, unload and store products/materials in designated locations
- Inspect and maintain forklifts to ensure safe operating procedures
- Complete forklift check forms as required and any additional documentation
- Follow safety protocols and company procedures while operating machinery
- Track and document inventory in compliance with company policy and procedures
- Perform general warehouse duties as required, such as manufacturing of pallets, labelling, wrapping and strapping pallets in preparation for dispatch
- Enforce safety standards and ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and health and safety regulations
- Maintain a high standard of quality across all production outputs, ensuring all products meet company specifications and customer expectations
- Participation in ongoing training and development
- Assist in other departments as needed, offering flexibility to support the business’s evolving needs
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience desirable
- Valid counter balance forklift certificate essential
- Strong understanding of safety standards and procedures
- Able to work under pressure, multi-task and meet deadlines
- Energetic, hard-working and enthusiastic
- An excellent team player
- Strong communication skills
- Can-do attitude
