Assistant Psychologist – 12 Month Fixed- Term Contract
Salary: €31,000 -€34,000 based on experience, per annum.
Shift and schedule: Full-time (37.5 hours per week), Monday – Friday.
Location: Blanchardstown, County Dublin including travel to other clinic locations as required

About the Role:
As an Assistant Psychologist at Evolve Ireland you would support our multi-disciplinary teams to carry out Autism, ADHD, Intellectual disability, speech and language and Occupational therapy assessments for children and Adults referred via he HSE or attending privately. Our Assistant psychologists are supported to gain the skills necessary to support psychological assessments by gathering information, conducting interviews, and administering some psychological tests. As part of the Evolve Ireland team you will be responsible for ensuring clients receive excellent customer service and their needs are met throughout their journey with us.
You will be responsible for supporting the multidisciplinary team who conduct face-to-face autism and ADHD assessments for children and adults by;
- Working with assigned referrals to ensure all information is provided correctly and within time parameters to meet statutory deadlines
- Managing assigned cases to highlight needs and assist in meeting these needs and facilitating service accessibility
- Collecting and collating clinical information, case histories and previous medical information
- Assisting with parental interviews, psychometric completion and information capture, to explore a young person’s or client’s developmental history in relation to autism and ADHD
- Maintaining clinical records and information accurately and confidentially, highlighting required information and documentation and facilitating its collation
- Collecting and analysing data for research, service evaluations, and audits and to contribute to improving services through research and evidence-based practice
- Facilitating Qb test administration as part of ADHD assessments
- Scoring and interpreting psychometric assessments.
- Gathering information from external sources such as schools and healthcare providers, collecting information via written and verbal means and accurately updating records to reflect such information
- Effectively communicating with schools, professionals, parents, and young people.
- Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings.
- Developing key service communications for parents and young people.
Qualifications and Experience
- Undergraduate degree in Psychology
- Experience working with children and young people in a paid or voluntary role
- Prior exposure to neurodiverse conditions and their presentations in different populations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, in English. Fluency in Irish advantageous.
- Knowledge and understanding of key national policies and frameworks applicable to healthcare operations such as Children’s First.
- Must be eligible to work in the Republic of Ireland.
