Full Time Kitchen Porter – Daytime Hours Only (No Nights)

Cork City | €14.15 per hour (starting rate)

Full-Time Position Only – This is NOT a part-time role

No Sundays | No Evenings | No Bank Holidays

We are a long-established, family-run restaurant (30+ years) operating a busy daytime kitchen. We are looking for a reliable, hardworking full-time Kitchen Porter to become an essential part of our kitchen team.

This is a fast-paced, structured environment where cleanliness, organisation and consistency are critical. The Kitchen Porter plays a vital role in ensuring the kitchen runs smoothly by maintaining high hygiene standards and supporting the chefs throughout the day.

The Role

Wash dishes, pots, pans and kitchen equipment to a consistently high standard
Keep the wash-up area clean, organised and operating efficiently throughout the day
Maintain excellent hygiene and HACCP standards at all times
Receive deliveries, check goods and store stock correctly
Assist with keeping the kitchen clean, safe and well organised
Support the kitchen team wherever required during busy service

This role requires someone who takes pride in maintaining exceptionally high standards every single day.

Non-Negotiables

This is a full-time position only – we are not recruiting for part-time hours
Strong spoken English – clear communication with the kitchen team is essential
Speed and organisation – you can work efficiently without compromising standards
Attention to cleanliness – hygiene is a priority, not an afterthought
Reliability – you turn up on time and can be depended upon
Physical stamina – this is an active role requiring you to be on your feet throughout the shift

You work well under pressure and stay organised during busy periods
You are looking for a stable, long-term full-time daytime position

This Role is NOT for You If:

You are looking for part-time hours
You dislike repetitive work
You struggle to maintain high cleaning standards when busy
You prefer working independently rather than supporting a team
You are unreliable or frequently late
You are looking for evening work

Requirements

Previous experience in a busy kitchen or similar environment is an advantage but not essential
Fluent/proficient spoken English (essential)
Eligible to work in Ireland
