Organizational Context and Scope
IOM Ireland has been operating in Ireland since 2001, currently in following areas of migration management: Assisted Voluntary Return and Reintegration, Resettlement, Family Reunification, Counter-Trafficking, Protection, Integration Support to Beneficiaries of Temporary Protection, Integrated Immigration Governance and Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS).
IOM provides mental health and psychosocial support to international protection seekers residing in the Citywest accommodation facility with the aim to improve their psychosocial well-being and to strengthen their overall resilience.
Under the overall supervision of the Chief of Mission in Ireland, the Head of MHPSS Unit and the direct supervision of the Senior MHPSS and Case Management Associate, the incumbent will support the implementation of project activities, supervise the work of the caseworkers in the Citywest accommodation Centre for international protection applicants in Ireland, supervise the work of Infoline Assistants related to MHPSS services, and coordinate on-site activities with stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications and Experience
Education
- High school diploma with six years of relevant experience; or,
- Bachelor’s degree and accreditation in Social Work from an accredited academic institution with at least four years of relevant experience.
Accredited Universities are those listed in the UNESCO World Higher Education Database.
Experience
- Experience supporting case management or assistance programmes for migrants.
- Experience supporting social work and vulnerability assessment activities.
- Experience providing direct assistance to migrants and/or refugees preferred.
- Knowledge and experience working with State agencies and non-governmental organisations in Ireland preferred.
- Understanding of international standards, best practices, issues related to displacement and integration.
- Previous work experience or training on mental health and psychosocial support to migrants is an asset.
- Experience in working in a multi-cultural environment is an advantage.
Previous experience with international organizations, NGOs, EU Agencies and/or Irish law enforcements or Government’s Departments would be an asset.

This selection process may be used to staff similar positions in various duty stations. Recommended candidates will remain eligible to be appointed in a similar position for a period of 24 months.
