PRODUCTION BAKERY MANAGER

Applebee Bakes | Cork | Full-Time

We are looking for an experienced Production Bakery Manager to join our growing team and take responsibility for the day-to-day running of our production kitchen.

We are looking for a qualified and experienced baker with strong knowledge of professional bakery production, who is ready to take on a leadership role and play an important part in the continued growth of our business.

This is a hands-on position that would suit someone who enjoys working in a busy production environment, takes pride in the quality of their work and has the organisation and leadership skills to ensure the bakery operates efficiently and consistently.

The Role

As Production Bakery Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of our production kitchen, ensuring that production is well planned, organised and completed to the highest standards.

You will work closely with the bakery team, providing direction and support while maintaining a hands-on approach to production. You will be responsible for ensuring that our products are consistently made to Applebee Bakes' recipes, specifications and quality standards.

Key responsibilities will include:

Managing and overseeing the day-to-day running of the production bakery.
Planning and organising daily and weekly production schedules.
Leading, supporting and motivating the bakery production team.
Working hands-on with the team and assisting with production when required.
Ensuring all products are consistently produced to the required quality and presentation standards.
Ensuring recipes, production methods and portion controls are followed accurately.
Training and mentoring team members and supporting their development.
Managing stock levels and assisting with ingredient ordering.
Monitoring waste and ensuring ingredients are used efficiently.
Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, organisation and food hygiene.
Ensuring HACCP and food safety procedures are consistently followed.
Completing and maintaining relevant production and food safety records.
Identifying opportunities to improve production processes, efficiency and organisation.
Working closely with the wider Applebee Bakes team to ensure production requirements are met.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who is:

A qualified baker with solid professional bakery experience.
Experienced in a supervisory or management role within a bakery or food production environment, ideally.
Confident leading and supporting a team.
Highly organised with excellent time-management skills.
Able to plan and prioritise production effectively.
Hands-on, reliable and willing to get involved in all aspects of bakery production.
Passionate about producing high-quality products and maintaining consistency.
Detail-oriented and takes pride in their work.
Calm and capable of working efficiently in a busy production environment.
Proactive and able to identify ways to improve processes and efficiency.
A strong communicator who can work well with both the production team and wider business.
Candidate MUST currently reside in IRELAND.
