Full job description

CEL Critical Power is a global provider of mission-critical power solutions operating at the centre of the AI, hyperscale data centre and critical infrastructure ecosystem. Demand for CEL’s products is strong and accelerating. The challenge is not sales demand, it is executing growth at pace without compromising delivery certainty, production discipline or customer trust. Operating from its Irish base, CEL continues to scale its production capability in parallel with its US expansion, with similar ambitions to significantly increase output over the coming years. Ireland remains central to CEL’s global operating model and will continue to play a critical role in delivering high-quality, engineered products at scale.

The Role

This role involves managing inventory and material control tasks through a cycle count and credit returns process within our Warehouse Network. Collaborating with Supply Chain, Finance, and other teams to establish a streamlined process, the individual will use various software tools such as ERP and Excel Power BI to identify materials that need to be counted. They will conduct physical counts of these materials and make the required system adjustments to maintain accurate inventory records. This is a hands-on role, involving the use of various counting devices and equipment to perform the material counting tasks.

Responsibilities

Co-ordinate Daily / weekly count program, ensuring accurate scheduling and effective communication among all team members to maintain consistency and reliability in inventory tracking.
Analyse and resolve discrepancies by thoroughly investigating count variances and implementing detailed corrective measures to prevent recurrence and improve overall inventory accuracy.
Generate and manage counts via ERP and Barcode Scanning technology, ensuring data is captured swiftly and accurately to support real-time inventory management and reporting.
Put corrective action plans in place to minimise discrepancies, working closely with operational teams to address root causes and implement sustainable improvements.
Co-ordinate Root Cause Analysis and corrective actions with Finance and Supply Chain departments, fostering collaboration across functions to resolve issues effectively and enhance inventory control processes.
Manage a 5-day turnaround for Credit returns, ensuring timely processing and reconciliation to maintain accurate financial and inventory records.
Conduct detailed analysis of Excess and Obsolete Stock to identify slow-moving or redundant items, enabling strategic decision-making for inventory optimization.
Update all Cycle counts on the system of record promptly and accurately, maintaining up-to-date inventory data to support operational and financial reporting requirements.
Audit Vendor stocks (consumables) periodically to ensure compliance with stock levels and contractual agreements, safeguarding against stock discrepancies and losses.
Perform GRN (Goods Receipt Note) Reconciliation Audits to verify the accuracy of received goods against purchase orders and delivery documents, ensuring all discrepancies are addressed swiftly.
Oversee MRB (Material Review Board) Management processes, coordinating the evaluation and disposition of non-conforming materials to minimize impact on production and inventory.
Report weekly count KPIs to management, providing detailed insights into inventory accuracy, discrepancy trends, and improvement initiatives to support informed decision-making.

We welcome applications from internal candidates who hold a Level 6 or Level 7 qualification and are committed to progressing to Level 8.

Requirements

Bachelor degree or 3rd level qualification in a related field.
Over 5 years of experience in fast-paced warehouse environments, adept at multitasking and maintaining productivity under pressure.
Proficient in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP systems, especially SAP, for efficient inventory and workflow management.
Strong knowledge of supply chain processes including procurement, logistics, inventory control, and distribution.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Power BI for data analysis, reporting, and visualization.
Experienced with bartender labelling software for accurate product labelling.
Effective written and verbal communication skills for collaboration and issue resolution.
In-depth component knowledge for accurate product handling and tracking.
Detail-oriented with focus on accuracy and quality control to ensure compliance with standards.
Strong numerical and mathematical skills essential for inventory management and reporting.
