Full job description

True Financial Ltd is one of Ireland's leading financial services brokerages, providing advice on Life Insurance, Mortgage Protection, Income Protection, Serious Illness Cover, Pensions, Investments, Mortgages and Financial Planning.

As a regulated firm authorised by the Central Bank of Ireland, compliance is at the heart of everything we do. We are looking for a Compliance Assistant to join our team and support the Head of Compliance with the day-to-day administration of the compliance function.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start or develop a career in compliance within the financial services industry.

The Role

As Compliance Assistant, you will provide administrative and operational support to the Head of Compliance. You will help ensure records are maintained accurately, compliance processes run efficiently and regulatory obligations are met.

Full training will be provided, making this an ideal role for someone who is organised, eager to learn and has a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities

Provide administrative support to the Compliance department.
Assist with compliance file reviews and maintain accurate records.
Update compliance trackers, registers and internal logs.
Help monitor outstanding compliance actions and follow up with colleagues where required.
Assist with complaints administration and record keeping.
Support the management of GDPR requests and documentation.
Maintain compliance folders and ensure documentation is organised and up to date.
Assist with preparing documentation for internal audits and regulatory reviews.
Help monitor staff training and qualification records.
Assist with reviewing policies and procedures and updating documents when required.
Carry out general research into regulatory updates and industry guidance.
Prepare meeting notes, reports and other compliance documentation.
Work closely with advisers, administration staff and management to obtain information when required.
Provide general administrative support to the Head of Compliance.

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
Eager to learn and develop a career in compliance.
Able to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
A confident communicator with good written and verbal communication skills.
Professional, reliable and able to handle confidential information.
Comfortable using Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel and Outlook.
Able to work independently as well as part of a team.

Experience & Qualifications

Essential:

A Leaving Certificate or equivalent qualification.
Previous experience in a Financial Services Brokerage a distinct advantage.
Good IT skills and a willingness to learn.

Desirable (but not essential):

Experience within financial services or another regulated industry.
LCI, QFA or APA qualification or working towards same
