The Role:
Lord Abbett is seeking an Investment Data Specialist to support our Operations team from our office in Dublin, Ireland. The successful candidate will be an experienced financial professional with a background in security reference data, risk analytics, and/or account data management in asset management. We are seeking a highly motivated, self-sufficient individual who is passionate about data analysis, business analysis, issue resolution and management. This person will work collaboratively with our key strategic partners as well as the Investment organization (Portfolio managers, analysts and traders) to ensure data is accurately maintained across key applications. This person will proactively research data anomalies, identify systematic issues, immediately resolve problems, and structure plans to improve processing, sourcing, and quality controls. This person will also work with Technology to automate key data integrations to eliminate manual processes as well as participate in key strategic initiatives in driving new, efficient operating models as the business grows.
The role is located in Dublin, Ireland with a team co-located in Jersey City, NJ.
We’ll trust you to::
- Oversight and ownership of quality control checks carried out in the early morning (US Eastern Time), update systems accordingly and communicate as needed

Assist portfolio managers, traders, quantitative research on solving complex data issues and inquiries

Business & data analysis and identification of anomalies, making recommendations for automatic identification and remediation of data issues

Work with investors and technology to understand data issues faced across various internal applications

Coordinate with key strategic partner ensuring security data consistency across platforms and data feeds

Perform research to find information required to complete set up or correct parameters that cause the incorrect computation of data

Assist with the local data requirements of the Management company of Lord Abbett (Ireland)

Review Investment Operations process workflows & procedure documentation; updating accordingly

Identify areas of process risk and make recommendations for improvements

Draft and communicate business requirements, perform testing and support go-live for various implementations & process improvements
You'll need to have::
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or related field
- 4 - 6 years of relevant experience with background in investment products (Fixed Income, Equities and Derivatives), investment data management, data and business analysis

Demonstrated experience building/improving data management processes and analytical system

Working knowledge of Investment market operations and trade lifecycle events

Highly self-motivated, ability to work independently and make well informed decisions

Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Strong technical skills including MS Office suite, Investment Technology such as Bloomberg, CharlesRiver, other programming skills (SQL, Python, etc.) a plus

Takes initiative applying a sense of ownership with persistence to meet tight deadlines

Applies critical thinking in bringing efficient and risk-controlled solutions

Ability to build and maintain relationships across all levels, internal and externally

Compensation Information: Annual base salary for this role is €85,000 - €100,000. Salary is estimated for this role. Actual pay may be different.
Discretionary Bonus: Role may be eligible to receive an annual discretionary bonus. Discretionary bonuses are determined by several factors including, but not limited to, firm, team, and individual performance.
