Full job description

Ruby Lounge + Kitchen is currently recruiting experienced Chefs to join our kitchen team at our busy bar and restaurant on the Dunmore Road, Waterford.

This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced kitchen serving breakfast, weekday carvery, Sunday carvery, lunch, à la carte dishes, bar food and event menus. We are looking for reliable, organised chefs who take pride in producing good-quality food consistently across busy service periods.

The Role

You will be part of a kitchen team delivering food across a varied all-day operation, including breakfast, carvery, lunch, bar food and private events.

Duties will include:

Preparing, cooking and presenting dishes to a high standard
Supporting breakfast, carvery, lunch and à la carte service
Maintaining consistency, quality and presentation across all dishes
Working cleanly and efficiently during busy service periods
Following HACCP, food safety and hygiene procedures
Supporting stock control, prep lists and kitchen organisation
Working as part of a positive, professional kitchen team
Assisting with menu ideas, specials and day-to-day kitchen improvements where required

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will have:

Previous experience as a Chef, Chef de Partie, Commis Chef or strong Cook in a busy kitchen
Experience with breakfast, carvery, bar food or casual dining is an advantage
A good understanding of HACCP and kitchen hygiene standards
The ability to work well under pressure
Good organisation and attention to detail
A reliable, professional attitude
Flexibility to work weekdays and weekends as required
Pride in producing quality food for customers
