About CC Asian Delights

CC Asian Delights is a busy restaurant in the heart of Tullamore, serving Asian-inspired food and drinks in a welcoming, fast-paced environment.

We are looking for a reliable, hardworking and motivated Kitchen Staff / Kitchen Assistant to join our kitchen team.

This is a hands-on role that is essential to keeping the kitchen clean, organised and running efficiently throughout service. The successful candidate will be comfortable working at pace, following food safety procedures and supporting the chefs and wider team wherever needed.

About the role

As a Kitchen Assistant, you will support the kitchen team with cleaning, washing up, deliveries, stock handling and basic food preparation.

You will play an important role in making sure the kitchen is properly prepared for service and maintained to a high standard throughout the day.

Previous kitchen or hospitality experience is preferred, but we are also willing to consider candidates with the right attitude and willingness to learn.

What you will do

Follow all HACCP procedures and food safety guidelines.
Responsibility for goods in & out of the kitchen and maintenance of records for same.
Be responsible for the washing and cleaning of all kitchen utensils, cutlery and crockery.
Replace all delph, crockery and cutlery to designated areas for re-use.
As Chef requires, wash pots and pans as used.
Keep the dishwashing and kitchen areas clean, tidy and organised throughout service.
Assist with end-of-service cleaning and kitchen close-down duties.
Assist chefs with basic food preparation when required.
Use basic knife skills safely and correctly.
Prepare ingredients according to instructions and kitchen standards.
Support the kitchen team during busy services.

About you

Reliable and hardworking – you take pride in your work and can be counted on by the team.
Experienced or willing to learn – previous kitchen porter, kitchen assistant, catering or restaurant experience is desirable.
Food-safety aware – understands the importance of HACCP, hygiene and safe food handling.
Comfortable with basic knife skills and willing to develop further kitchen skills.
Organised and detail-focused – able to keep the kitchen clean, tidy and well maintained.
Able to work under pressure in a busy restaurant environment.
A team player – willing to help wherever needed during service.
Flexible – available for evening and weekend shifts.
Legally authorised to work full time in Ireland.
Driving is preferable, particularly for candidates who may need to assist with transport or deliveries.

The Hours

Hospitality means flexibility, and lunch shifts, evenings and weekends are part of restaurant life. We work as a team and support one another during busy services.

Pay: €14.15-€15.20 per hour
