Job Title: Cash n Carry Sales – Horticulture
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Location: Deerpark, Streamstown, Mullingar, Westmeath. N91 R5FV
Salary: Negotiable (depending on experience)
Start Date: ASAP

Job Description

We are a busy wholesale plant nursery seeking a reliable, enthusiastic, and motivated Cash n Carry Sales Assistant to join our team. This is a varied and hands-on role involving customer service, outdoor sales, and providing expert horticultural advice to customers.

Working Hours

Applicants must be available to work one of the following schedules:

Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm, or
Tuesday to Saturday, 8:30am – 5:00pm

Key Responsibilities

Providing excellent customer service to trade customers.
Advising customers on plant selection, plant care, and suitable horticultural products.
Sharing expert horticultural knowledge and recommendations to help customers make informed purchasing decisions.
Processing sales and handling cash/card transactions.
Maintaining attractive and well-stocked sales areas.
Loading and unloading plants and horticultural products as required.
Assisting with stock management and merchandising.
Keeping the nursery and sales areas clean, tidy, and organised.
Supporting the wider team with day-to-day nursery operations.

Requirements

A strong horticultural background is essential.
Ability to confidently advise customers and provide expert guidance on plants, planting, maintenance, and general gardening queries.
Previous retail, sales, or customer service experience is desirable.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
A positive attitude and strong customer focus.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
