About Us

Curtains Direct is one of Ireland's leading suppliers of bespoke curtains, blinds and interior solutions. Based in Limerick, we work with homeowners, designers and commercial clients throughout Ireland.

We are seeking an experienced and reliable Bookkeeper to join our team and take ownership of the day-to-day financial administration of the business.

This is a hands-on role for an experienced bookkeeper who enjoys taking ownership of the accounts function and being a key part of a growing business.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks
Manage purchase and sales ledgers
Bank reconciliations
Supplier payment processing
Credit control and debtor management
VAT preparation and submissions
Assist with payroll processing
Month-end reporting and account reconciliation
Liaise with accountants and management as required
Support management with financial information and reporting

Requirements

Minimum 3 years bookkeeping experience
Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks (essential)
Experience with VAT returns and reconciliations
Excellent attention to detail
Strong organisational and time management skills
Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks
Good communication skills

Desirable

Payroll experience
Experience working in an SME environment
Accounting Technician qualification or similar
