Late Night Bar Manager – Dublin City Centre (Dublin 2)

Salary: Competitive, depending on experience

We are currently seeking an experienced and highly driven Late Night Bar Manager to lead the operations of one of Dublin City Centre's busiest late-night venues.

This is a senior management position suited to an ambitious hospitality professional with a proven track record of managing high-volume bar operations, leading large teams, delivering financial results, and maintaining exceptional operational standards.

The successful candidate will be a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is capable of driving performance while creating a positive culture for both staff and customers.

Key ResponsibilitiesVenue Leadership

Take full responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the venue.
Lead, motivate, and develop a large team of managers, supervisors, bartenders, floor staff, and security personnel.
Be highly visible on the floor and lead by example during all trading periods.
Ensure exceptional customer service standards are maintained at all times.
Create a culture of accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement.

Financial Management

Deliver weekly, monthly, and annual sales and profitability targets.
Manage labour costs, beverage margins, stock control, and operational expenses in line with company targets.
Analyse business performance and implement strategies to maximise revenue and profitability.
Monitor KPIs and take corrective action where necessary.
Ensure all financial controls, cash handling procedures, and reporting requirements are strictly adhered to.

Team Management

Recruit, train, coach, and develop management and operational teams.
Conduct regular performance reviews and staff development meetings.
Manage disciplinary and performance management procedures in accordance with company policy.
Build and maintain a strong management structure within the venue.

Operational Excellence

Maintain the highest standards of venue presentation, cleanliness, and customer experience.
Ensure compliance with all licensing legislation, health and safety requirements, and company procedures.
Oversee security operations and ensure responsible service of alcohol practices are consistently implemented.
Manage customer issues professionally and efficiently.

Strategic Planning & Reporting

Work closely with company directors to achieve agreed business objectives.
Attend weekly management meetings and provide detailed operational and financial updates.
Develop and execute plans to increase sales, profitability, customer retention, and overall venue performance.
Identify opportunities for growth and operational improvement.

Essential Requirements

Minimum 5 years' senior management experience in a high-volume bar, nightclub, late-night venue, or hospitality operation.
Fluent written and spoken English.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage, inspire, and develop large teams.
Proven track record of achieving and exceeding financial and operational KPIs.
Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, labour costs, stock control, GP performance, and profitability.
Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work under pressure and make effective decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Strong understanding of Irish licensing legislation and hospitality compliance requirements.
Highly motivated, target-driven, and commercially focused.
Flexible regarding working hours, including evenings, weekends, and late nights.
