Cleaner

Permanent, Part time- 16 hours Per week

Dublin Rd, Kilminchy, Portlaoise, Co. Laois, R32 HK11

Job Purpose

The principal duty of the cleaner is to have responsibility for all aspects of hygiene maintenance and good housekeeping within the services/canteen, in accordance with all elements of Health, Safety and Hygiene regulations and legislation.

What we're looking for:

Educated to third level (desirable)

1-year relevant experience working in a related role

Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies

Knowledge of health & safety

Your Responsibilities

To maintain the highest standards of safety, hygiene and good housekeeping within the services/canteen, in accordance with all elements of Health, Safety and Hygiene regulations and legislation.

Cleaning, stocking and supplying within the centre/canteen (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, etc in order to keep buildings/canteen clean and orderly condition.

Emptying waste bins and transporting waste to designated areas.

Performing and documenting routine inspection and maintenance activities.

Reporting when supplies/cleaning supplies are running low and assist with the ordering of replacements.

Closing Date: June 17th, 2026

Salary starting from point 1 €28,521.77 to point 4 €29,807.17 (pro rata), depending on experience and qualification.
